This year, for Lola's bday, it was extra special with Joey taking the lead at Dawnwatch service.
Joey presented an excellent sermon on faith. Timely, considering everything that was going around us, including our family. A lot of mountains ahead.
But it was also symbolic in a way. Another full circle moment, I think for Lola. Here she was, listening to her youngest grandson delivering a message to a gym of pastors and other people. What a testimony of faith transitioning through the generations! It will continue to be so until the succeeding generations. Thats for sure.
As a sister, I never doubted Joey could do it. He was always a good speaker and is a very deep thinker. From speaking to writing, he has the gift. Although people tend to take him lightly because of his joking personality and wasy going manner. But he is as deep as a river.
The journey moves on. The race is still ongoing. With God by our side, we have our Savior with us every step of the way.
